Hotel Deals that Make Me Want to Live in Las Vegas this December
Wynn Las Vegas offers a winter getaway for you and your friends.
P.B. and I have always been big fans of heading to Las Vegas before the Christmas holidays. We get a little shopping done, take in the holiday decorations — especially the winter display at The Bellagio’s Conservatory and Botanical Gardens — and just kick back and enjoy some down-time during what can be a pretty hectic time of year. We’ve never found December to be particularly busy in Las Vegas and with the economy in such a downturn we look for it to be even quieter this year so here’s your chance to enjoy the city at a much more relaxed pace and at some great prices.
Wynn Las Vegas — We got a mailer this past weekend touting $119 weekdays/$159 weekends plus free slot play. Great chance to stay at Wynn and try Alex Stratta’s new, more casual spot…Stratta. Love, love, love his food.
The Venetian and The Palazzo are both extending their “Ultimate Escape” room deals with $119 & $159 rates plus free play and LAVO restaurant/club goodies. Don’t forget to do some people-watching at Double Helix wine bar at the Shoppes at The Palazzo while you’re there.
Luxor — Rooms as low as $48 a night! Use offer code: LDNON to get the Luxor’s “Most Valuable Promotion” deal. Check out the action at LAX, Luxor’s hot nightclub, and don’t miss dining at the new “T & T” — Tacos and Tequila — which just opened in late October.
MGM Grand — Check out their December calendar for either “Buy Two Nights, Get One Free” or the “No Regrets” package with rooms as low as $64 a night. Consider a stop at Michael Mina’s Nobhill Tavern. He has “whole fried chicken for two with truffle mac & cheese” on the new menu. Whoa. (If anyone has had this please leave a comment and tell me how it is. Sounds devilish.)
Paris Las Vegas — This Harrah’s property has lots of dates available for $90 per night. Total Rewards Club members will get even better (probably comped) nights during the month of December at this and other properties like Bally’s or Flamingo.
